Dress appropriately for the weather

One of the most important things to consider when preparing for a day at the theme park is the weather, especially if you’re visiting during winter. In UAE for example,  the temperature will range from 16.4°C to 24°C during the winter season. If you visit theme park rides and attractions then and you’re not dressed appropriately, you won’t enjoy the visit, and you might even get sick later on. So make sure to pack your jacket, gloves, hoodies, and warmers. If you’re visiting during the summer season, go for loose tank tops and T-shirts. For your bottoms, choose athletic shorts or jean shorts, whichever you feel are most comfortable to wear. You might also want to add a hat and sunglasses to your overall attire.

Aside from choosing the right clothes, consider the type of shoes to wear as well. Comfortable shoes are always the ideal ones because you’ll never know if you’re going on long walks, plus, standing in lines is surely one thing you’ll do all throughout the day.

Pack your essentials

When heading to enjoy the theme park rides, it’s essential to pack your essentials, things you’ll need to make you feel comfortable and safe all throughout the day. Some examples of things you can bring are sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, snacks, and any necessary medications, such as motion sickness tablets, pain relievers, etc. You might also want to pack spare socks in case you’re planning to go on water rides because water rides equal wet socks.

Choose your rides wisely

Theme park rides and attractions are not created equally. Some are perfect for all while others are not suitable for everyone. The intensity level of each ride is different. Before your actual day of the visit, it’s a good idea to research about the rides available at the park. Make a list of the rides and plan which ones you’d like to try. There are restrictions to every ride, such as height or weight. So make sure to include rides on your list that are appropriate for you.

Stay hydrated

When you’re at an amusement park, the list of things you can do is endless. With so many rides to choose from, you’ll surely use a lot of your energy by going from one place to another and waiting in line for your turn. To avoid getting dehydrated, make sure to drink water as often as possible. Don’t be tempted by sugary drinks though, as they can actually be dehydrating. If you want to save money, make sure to pack your refillable water bottle.

Protect your skin

Protecting your skin is essential when you’re spending your day outdoors. Make sure you have sunscreen on before going out. Also, remember to reapply every few hours. You’re likely to spend a lot of time outdoors so it’s important that your skin is protected by using a good sunscreen product. If you’re visiting during the winter season, make sure to protect your lips and hands too. The dry air could cause chapped skin or cracked skin so make sure to pack your lip balm and moisturizer.

Plan for indoor attractions

You’ll never know if the weather is going to be good all day during your visit, so it’s a good idea to look for indoor attractions. Once again, do your research and create a list of what indoor attractions are there and which ones you want to try. Doing this ensures that you’ll still enjoy your visit in case the weather goes bad.

Be mindful of crowds

It’s quite common for theme parks to get crowded, so it’s important to be mindful of your surroundings. Be respectful of lines and wait times. If you want to avoid large crowds, you might want to plan your visit during off-peak seasons.

Visiting theme parks is one of the best experiences you can have. And if you’ve planned your visit well and you’re prepared physically and mentally, it sure will be one hell of a ride.
